Huge fan of your products, particularly your dress shirts. I’d like to see Bachrach.com provide order/shipping status of online purchases. Doable in the near future? Thanks.

Thanks for your comment and great suggestion. We are planning to add this feature as soon as we can. Automated status alerts via e-mail is our first thought since it would be easiest to implement. When time allows, a dedicated page for checking order/shipping status is an idea for the longer term.

I’m really glad to see that Bachrach is doing many things to embrace the technology of the 21st century! I have been a customer for a number of years. In the beginning, I would do most of my high quality, high end shopping here first because of the quality, selection of styles and sizes and color. Size is an important concern for me because I am 6′5″ and I want to carry my height well in proper fitting clothes. Well starting in 2002, Bachrach stopped carrying suits in EXTRA LONG sizes and in 2003, that size disappeared from the sport coats. Doing that has forced me to turn to other purveyors of high end, high quality merchandise such as Paul Frederick and Joseph Banks. I would really like to see those sizes return, one for sentimental reasons and second, because I would like to have as much choice as possible in selecting suits and sport coats. The way it stands now, shoes and shirts are just about the only things I can purchase and the occasional accesory item. Returning these items back to your product line as well as adding ties in extra-long length would be good business for you and give more choice to the tall and well dressed man. I don’t know what the problem was with the sizes in the past because I can recall many a time in checking on availability in my size that certain items were either sold out or had just a few left. Clearly, this indicates that they were in demand.

Over the past year, many of our long-time clients have voiced similar requests for larger and taller sizes. From what I understand, it was hard to determine the right quantities to order for these “fringe” sizes. I believe we always underestimated so as not to be left with odd sizes that never sold.
In any case, the demand for taller/larger sizes seems to have increased and your comment helps confirm that. I have forwarded your comment to senior management and the merchandising team. Thanks.

That’s great to hear. I hope it happens this time as I have brought this to Bachrach’s attention before and nothing happened. Consequently, I had to look for new sources and Joseph Banks fit the bill. Prior to the sizes no longer being carried, I never looked at Joseph Banks before. Since then, they have gotten the bulk of my disposable income for clothes as they cater to tall men in everything. I would like to see Bachrach begin to carry slacks in long rises too as they fit tall men better than regular rise. Bachrach has always had the quality and color choices (my favorite summer suit is a cream one I purchased back in 1999) for me so bringing back the sizes will mean more money being spent on clothing purchases there versus the competition.

Though I live in Seattle-I would make quarterly trips to the Washington Square Mall store in Portland OR. Bachrach is my favorite clothing store. The NW is a mens clothing desert-Nordstrom and Men’s Wearhouse-the high end and the low end. Bachrach was in the middle for me.
I know its about the bottom line but I am sad to have seen Washington Square close

You are not the only one who expressed disappointment in the closing of our Washington Square location. We will make note. Thank you.

Why is that we cannot see all of the swatches/color combinations for some of your items? I.E. suits, ties, sweaters, etc.
August 19, 2007 at 7:53 am
Some items/colors have not yet been photographed. We are setting up a new system so we will soon be able to shoot all merchandise and their color variations.

Your new fall suit the Tan Subtle Suit #32542. Can you get it with pleated pants? I would love to get that complete outfit but I like pleated pants. If you are going to offer suits with flat front pants you should have an option to get pleated. Some other companies do.

I am sorry I sent a comment about the wrong suit. I was intending to say the suit #32406 with the flat front pants not suit #32542. Sorry!

Dear Mr. Smith,
Thank you for your recent email concerning #32406 Heather Brown
Pinstripe Suit, unfortunately at this time the suit is offered with only
a flat front pant option. We do appreciate your comments concerning
offering two styles of pants and will forward them to our buyers for
future reference. If we can be of further assistance you may call

Hello ,
I am a long time fan/shopper of Bachrach, and I enjoy Men’s Fashion. I would love to own/franchise one of your stores in my area. Is this something that is currently possible , or that your corp has thought of? I am very serious about this endeavor.
January 14, 2008 at 10:47 am
Thank you for your nice comments about our merchandise selection and your interest in Bachrach. Bachrach is a privately owned company and does not offer franchise opportunities.
If we can be of further assistance, please let me know.
Sincerely,

Look like suit #33476 is a 3 button suit but you all have it listed as a two button, which is it?
February 16, 2008 at 11:18 pm
Thank you for bringing that error to our attention. It is a 3 button suit. I’ve updated the product copy.

I have just seen the slash shoes on your web site and I really like it, unfortunately you dont carrysize 8 in this product. Do you mantain a data base of your costomers with regards to size and products they purchase?
Iam a regular customer of your store most expecially of this brand(MEZLAN), it is disappointing to see a product you like but cant have only because your size is not available. I still love your store I think you have good quality.

I like the tie. But I really like the shirt as well. I didn’t see the shirt (s) on the website or in the catalog. Are the shirts discontinued? And do you also sell vests as separates?
